HB 5701, Enacted - Allows PAs to order durable medical equipment (DME) and to certify a patient's disability so the patient may obtain disability placards and/or handicapped stickers issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles

 

Florida

HB 989, Enacted - Removes restriction on PAs prescribing antipsychotics and parenteral medications

 

Indiana

SB 302, Enacted - Allows PAs to provide care in an emergency or disaster situation without physician supervision or with whatever physician supervision is available

 

Kentucky

HB 458, Enacted -Clarifies that the on-site supervision requirement applies only to new graduate PAs, and reduces the length of the on-site requirement from two years to 18 months

 

Massachusetts

SB 2863, Enacted - Increases the maximum number of PAs that one physician may supervise from two to four

 

Mississippi

HB 847, Enacted - Allows PAs to refer patients for physical therapy

 

Missouri

SB 788, Enacted - Clarifies on-site supervision requirements and allows PAs to order physical therapy

 

New Mexico

HB 89, Enacted - Adds PAs to the definition of "health care provider" in several key areas of law

SB 3550, Enacted - Allows PAs to certify a disability for the purpose of obtaining a disability parking permit

 

Oklahoma

HB 2760, Enacted - Allows PAs to refer patients for physical therapy

SB 2076, Enacted - Adds PAs who have received certain training to the definition of "licensed mental health professionals"

 

Virginia
