Academy position statement -- passed by 2006 AOR
The
Student Academy will promote PA Students efforts to screen all adult
and adolescent patients for tobacco use and to increase patient awareness
as to the dangers in the use of tobacco. All PA Students should strive
to promote cessation of tobacco use in their own lives and in the
lives of their colleagues and patients. The Student Academy supports
education of every PA student on effective strategies for tobacco
cessation including integration of national and community resources.
