Cancer Risk Assessment: A Survey of Physician Assistants' Competence using Clinical Vignettes.
One of the responsibilities of the American Academy of Physician Assistants is to collect and analyze data to track the growth and changes in the physician assistant profession. The data are collected from various projects that are maintained throughout the year by the AAPA Division of Data Services and Statistics. The most important of these activities is AAPA's Annual Census Survey of PAs. Aggregate results of the census survey are reported at the end of each year in the AAPA Physician Assistant Census Report. Customized reports and special analyses of census information can be purchased. Some restrictions apply; for instance, only AAPA members can purchase salary profiles - a specialized analytic report that answers the question: "How much do PAs, in positions with a specific set of characteristics, earn?"
This content is divided into three sections. The first two sections are based on primary data the Division of Data Services and Statistics has collected about PAs and new PA students. The third section includes other information available on PAs, as well as policies the division maintains regarding the data sharing and survey assistance programs.
