Rose
Parsons - Western Regional Chair
Rose,
an Arizona native, is currently a second year Physician Assistant
student at Midwestern University in Glendale AZ. Before
PA school, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with
minors in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Spanish from the
University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. This past year,
Rose served as the student representative from Midwestern University
to the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants, a constituent
organization of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
She is passionate about student involvement and interest in professional
issues and is very excited to be a part of the SAAAPA leadership
team. She loves the performing arts and enjoys singing, spending
time with friends and family, cooking, and visiting Northern California.

Jodi
Wernikoff - South Central Regional Chair
Jodi
was raised in Buffalo Grove, IL and graduated from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005 where she obtained her Bachelor of
Science degree in Biology and South Asian Studies. She is currently
in her second year of PA school at the University of St. Francis
in Albuquerque, NM. As a PA student, she served as the AOR representative
in 2007 and as the HOD representative in 2008. Outside of school,
Jodi enjoys road biking, running, hiking, camping and traveling.

Stacy
Reijmer - North Central Regional Chair
Stacy
is currently a second year PA student at Wayne State University
in Detroit, Michigan. She received her bachelor’s degree
in medical technology from Michigan State in 2006 and worked as
a Patient Care Assistant and Telemetry Tech before beginning her
graduate studies. Stacy has a particular clinical interest in
increasing organ donation awareness and education. In her free
time, she enjoys water sports, reading, shopping and spending
time with her family and friends.

Michael
Heilbrunn- Northeastern Regional Chair
Michael was
born and raised in Trumbull, Connecticut. He will be a second
year student at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York,
and served as Stony Brook’s Assembly of Representatives
(AOR) representative. In 2006, he graduated from the University
of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in molecular and
cell biology. He has volunteered and worked as an Emergency Medical
Technician for the past eight years.

Kara
Larson - Southeastern Regional Chair
Kara
is currently a second-year PA student at the Medical University
of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. A South Carolina native,
Kara graduated from Bob Jones University of Greenville in 2006
with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry. After
marrying her high school sweetheart in 2006 and moving to Charleston,
Kara worked one year as an Emergency Department Technician in
the MUSC Pediatric Emergency Room. Currently, Kara serves as the
Student Society President of the MUSC PA Class of 2009 and represented
her class as the 2007-2008 SAAAPA AOR Representative. In her free
time, Kara enjoys singing in her local church choir and with the
Charleston Symphony Chorus and Chamber Singers, playing and teaching
violin, and long-distance running. After graduation in August
2009, Kara hopes to practice pediatrics or emergency medicine.

Jessica
Boudreaux-Milligan - PAEA Student Member at Large
Jessica
is a native of south Louisiana and now attends the Saint Louis
University Physician Assistant program. She obtained a bachelor's
degree in pre-veterinary medicine before switching careers and
working as a medical assistant and retinal photographer. She lives
with her husband, Brian, and their 3 cats-Harley, Bailey, and
Jolie. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses in western
class events, reading, and gardening.

Vickie
Lisowski- PAEA Student Member at Large
Though she
still remains a faithful cheese head from Wisconsin, Vickie has
spent most of her life growing up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has
a Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Nevada
and Master’s degree in medical science from Boston University
Medical School. Currently, she is in her second year at Touro
University-Nevada and will graduate in December of 2009. In her
spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her family, playing volleyball,
traveling to exciting places, cooking, camping, hiking, and a
number of other outdoor activities.

Jennifer
Stein - PA Foundation Marketing/Communications Committee Representative
Jennifer
Stein is a second year student from the University of Florida,
College of Medicine, Physician Assistant Program. Prior to starting
PA school, she received her bachelor’s degree in May 2005
in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida.
After graduation, she worked for the University of Florida Pediatric
Endocrinology department as a clinical research assistant for
Type 1 Diabetes. When she has spare time, she likes watching college
football and basketball (Go Gators!), spending time with her family
and friends, and traveling. After graduating PA school, she plans
to practice in pediatrics.

Kathleen
Swift - PA Foundation Resource Development Committee Representative
Kathleen
is a second year student in the Quinnipiac University PA program
in Hamden , Connecticut . As a native of Geneseo , New York
she worked as a summer camp EMT before deciding on PA school.
She graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2007 with a degree
in health science. With a strong interest in service, she volunteers
as a Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppy raiser and American Red
Cross CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor. She loves being outside
running, hiking, and geocaching.
